wishful underestimate the power of fruit and vegetables . If previous studies reveal that eating fruits and vegetables can lower the risk of heart attack , new research has now revealed that eating lots of fruits and vegetables can also reduce the risk of death .

British researchers found that eating at least seven servings of fruits and vegetables every day can reduce the risk of death by 42 percent . The more vegetables and fruits consumed it also decreases the risk of death from various types of diseases including cancer and heart disease .

People who eat lots of vegetables and fruit every day at risk of dying from cancer and a 25 percent lower risk of dying from heart disease 31 percent lower . This study also showed that the vegetable is more beneficial to health than fruit , as reported by Science Daily ( 31 / 03 ) .

These results were found after researchers looked at data from the Health Survey for England . They examined the eating habits of 65 226 people in the UK during 2001 to 2013 . This is the first study linking the consumption of fruits and vegetables with risk of death from cancer and heart disease .

Compared to people who ate less than one serving of fruit and vegetables , the risk of death was reduced by 14 percent for people who consume one to three servings per day . For those who consume three to five servings , the risk of death decreased 29 percent . For that eating five to seven servings , risk of death dropped 36 percent , and 42 percent for those who eat at least seven servings of fruits and vegetables every day .

These results are the same even after the researchers included other factors such as age , sex , smoking habits , social class , BMI , lifestyle , and alcohol consumption . However, this study did not indicate the health benefits of fruit and vegetable juice , or frozen fruit .

Everyone would know that fruits and vegetables are an important healthy food is consumed . But it turns out the amount of vegetables and fruits also determine the benefits provided in the body , including lowered risk of death . No more lazy to eat fruits and vegetables yes !
